Privacy Policy
Stoa ("we", "us") is operated by The Life of Piet, Denmark. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We collect as little as possible and we do not sell your data.
Who is responsible
The data controller is The Life of Piet (Pietro Soli), Denmark. Contact: hi@thelifeofpiet.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist email — if you join the waitlist, we store your email address (and whether you opted in to marketing).
- Account data — when the app launches: your email and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the basic identifier they provide.
- Conversations — the messages you send and the responses you receive, so your history is available to you.
- Usage & billing — subscription status and credit usage needed to run the service.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To provide the service and your account (performance of a contract).
- To send you launch and, if you opted in, marketing emails (consent — you can withdraw anytime).
- To keep the service secure and improve it (legitimate interest).
Processors we use
We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf:
- Resend — email delivery and list management.
- Supabase — authentication and database.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Anthropic — generates the AI responses from your messages.
- Apple — processes in-app purchases (we never see your card details).
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first.
Retention
We keep your data while your account or waitlist subscription is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your data, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Email hi@thelifeofpiet.com and we will respond. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
International transfers
Some providers are based outside the EU/EEA; where so, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
